What’s up John?! Haven’t heard from you in a while. I agree that this is a great list but there are a ton of borderline guys. I hope to have all my candidates up soon. I’m doing them one at a time and I think i buried myself here by doing that. Haha! Oh well, it’s a challenge, I guess.

Holy crap you nailed the predictions! Great call on Iowa and on Pitt. I follow the Big East more than most conferences and I did not think they would be this good at all. I was also WAY wrong on USF.

I think this years list is much better than some of past couple. I can’t wait to see who actually gets in. There is a lot of borderline players, with a quite a few locks as well.

You’re right, a centerfielder with a .273/.365/.433 and incredible defense in the playoffs is considered choking. He’s easily worth that contract and possibly more. You’re looking at the wrong stats. Strikeouts are not the end-all-be-all of stats.

Andruw Jones SUCKS!!! I used to live in the Chattanooga, TN area with the Braves being my “home” team for nearly 30 years..I followed Andruw much closer than any of you all have for his entire career and saw him strike-out more times than I can count not to mention him being a HUGE reason why the Braves continuously “choked” in the postseason year after year..his career is over and Chicago is stupid for taking a chance on him..he’s not worth $500 dollars!!! you’ll see what I’m talking about..Joe Torre did the right thing with him a few seasons ago and that was to bench his sorry ass-then cut him-something his “washed up” manager, Bobby Cox refused to do the last year he spent with the Braves in ‘07..

I just hope he keeps doing what he does and by the time he retires people look past his lack of awards if/when he is considered for the Hall.
